Proper irrigation is very important and if done wrong can cause damage to your lawn. Some weeds that thrive in frequently watered lawns with light amounts of water. Lawns are healthier with deep, infrequent watering. The weeds will not be able to feed as well; therefore, reducing the time it takes to eliminate them. Most lawns should water one time per week with one inch of water. To achieve one inch of water you must measure the time it takes each zone to produce this with a rain gauge. However, a good rule of thumb is 45 minutes to an hour per zone. It is better to do your watering early morning (before sunrise). Your lawn will benefit from having a deeper and more established root system. This will provide the strength to withstand drought and recover from insect and disease infestations quicker. We want to do everything that we can to ensure that you have the best landscape possible. Making this change in your lawn irrigation will strengthen your lawn and improve our ability to remove unwanted weeds from your turf. Thanks Kyle...
